For all service retirements, a completed TRS Retirement Application (F-23), including the health insurance enrollment or waiver, must be submitted by the first day of the month prior to the retirement. For example: With a Jan. 1 retirement, the TRS Retirement Application (F-23) must be submitted by Dec. 1. TRS counselors are available to answer questions about retirement dates, but it is solely your responsibility to select a retirement date that best suits your personal retirement plans. Please call TRS to request an application.
